Gentrax Inverter Generator 3.5KW
Generator arrived in Brisbane within 2 days so no complaints there. It was well packaged and protected in its carton. I purchased this unit as a back up after many years of Queensland storms. Have run a few appliances on it ,vacuum cleaner, fan, lights etc. to test it and seems to work well but hasn't had a proper storm related workout yet. Noise level seems to be acceptable. It appears to be well made and has some really good features e.g. lcd screen. The key start and remote start are also useful features. My only criticism would be the owners manual which lacks some information e.g. the battery has to be connected but nowhere in the manual does it tell you this or even where the battery is located and how to access it, a quick search on YouTube provided this information. Very good price for this powerful generator
Despite mixed reviews purchased this unit. So far so good. Things not told to you. Battery disconnected on arrival, just requires terminals being attached before use AND the battery being charged - mine came with insufficient charge to work out of the box. Secondly the battery needs a trickle charge to be ready when required if the unit is not in use regularly, eg over a month the battery discharges to a point where the key start will not work (but the pull start will). I am using a 20watt solar panel to trickle charge and so far that seems to be working well. When going it is a bit noisy like all generators, but works well, powering a caravan airconditioner with ease. Great for bush camping when not to many people about. I found using for about an hour or 2 late afternoon fully recharged ... Despite mixed reviews purchased this unit. So far so good. Things not told to you. The unit itself had a workout over the weekend and did extremely well. I had several people look at it and are very impressed so maybe they will be in touch with you. Plenty of power
This generator was great. It was able to run 4 taps from a bore nearly 50m away during the bush fires. It then operated a fridge, freezer ans some lights in the house. We charged the phones as well. Comfortable to carry for 2 people with the handles. We had to return it because of a petrol leak. The collection and refund went very well, all within a week
